Which events are planned?

Welcome Brunch is Saturday morning from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Sangeet is Saturday evening at 7:00 PM, and the Wedding ceremony starts at 10:00 AM on Sunday.

How do I book my room at Le Meridien?

  1. Use the booking button on the Travel & Stay page to automatically apply the special rate.
  2. Select any number of nights between 3rd and 8th December for the discounted rate to apply.
  3. If needed, manually enter group code AV2AV2K during the booking process.

Will a shuttle be provided from the airport to the hotel?

Yes, a shuttle will be provided for guests from Cochin International Airport to Le Meridien (approximately a 1-hour drive). Our RSVP team will reach out to you directly to coordinate your arrival details and shuttle pickup.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The Welcome Brunch will be held in a semi-open area, the Sangeet is indoors, and the Wedding ceremony is outdoors. AC coolers will be set up and fans provided to keep guests comfortable.

What weather should we expect in Kochi in December?

December is generally warm and pleasant. Light, breathable fabrics are recommended, especially for daytime events.

Do I need to fill out any forms before landing in India?

Yes – international travellers now need to complete two quick online forms before arriving in India. Both are free, take just a few minutes, and are done on your phone or laptop before you fly:

  1. e-Arrival Card – Required for all foreign nationals and OCI cardholders. Fill it in within 72 hours before your flight lands at indianvisaonline.gov.in/earrival. You'll get a QR code to show at check-in and at Indian immigration – this is separate from your visa, so you'll still need that sorted too.
  2. Health Self-Declaration Form (Air Suvidha) – Also mandatory for all international arrivals (Indian and foreign nationals). Complete it up to 24 hours before your flight at airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in. It just asks about your recent travel and health, and generates a form to carry with you for arrival.

We'd recommend filling both out the day before you fly so it's fresh and ready to show. Keep a screenshot or downloaded copy on your phone in case you don't have signal on arrival.

Can I get things delivered during my stay (groceries, adaptors, essentials)?

Yes! Kochi has great delivery apps if you've forgotten something or just want snacks in your room. We'd recommend Blinkit – it delivers groceries, toiletries, travel adaptors, medicines, and everyday essentials straight to your hotel, usually within minutes. Handy for anything you didn't pack or realise you needed once you land.

What plug sockets/voltage does India use – will my chargers work?

India uses Type C, D, and M sockets (round pins) at 230V, which is different from US, UK, and several other plug types. If you're travelling from a country with flat-pin plugs (like the US) or the UK's three-pin plug, you'll need a universal travel adapter.

Most modern phone, laptop, and camera chargers are dual-voltage (check the plug for "Input: 100–240V" printed on it), so a simple adapter is all you'll need – no separate voltage converter required. If you're bringing single-voltage appliances like hair straighteners or curling irons from the US, double check the label, as you may need a voltage converter as well.

Adaptors are easy to find locally or can be delivered quickly via Blinkit if you forget to pack one.

Should I bring mosquito repellent?

Kochi has a coastal, tropical climate, so mosquitoes can be around, especially in the evenings. We'd suggest packing a good repellent (spray or roll-on with DEET or picaridin works well), and if you're sensitive to bites, a plug-in repellent for your hotel room too. These are easy to pick up locally, or order via Blinkit if you'd rather not pack one.
